The BUILDERS:

The Village’s homes will be constructed by a carefully selected team of the Lakes Region’s finest and most accomplished builders. The DESIGN ARCHITECTS:

For Anglo-Caribbean styled residential and clubhouse design, The Village selected Bloodgood Sharp Buster Architects & Planners, designers of the nationally honored 2005 New American Home in Orlando’s Baldwin Park and winner of countless hundreds of regional and national first place awards for their single-family, multi-family and clubhouse designs. The 39-year-old firm maintains Florida offices in Orlando, Tampa and Jacksonville and nine other
offices nationwide.

The LAND PLANNERS and SITE ENGINEERS:

For expert land planning, civil engineering and development management of neo-traditional communities such as The Village on Lake Rachard, The Village relies on the collaborative effort of the celebrated firms of Lakeland-based Kimley-Horn and Orlando-based Chastain-Skillman, Inc. and Harlan Hanson Inc. As the nation’s number one firm for site engineering (according to Engineering News-Record), Kimley-Horn has teamed up with the nationally recognized work of Harlan Hanson’s principals Harlan Hanson and Michael D. Wadley, and the award-winning expertise of Chastain-Skillman which maintains five Florida offices, including one in nearby Sebring.

The LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTS:

To complement the team, Dale Baldwin, president of Dale R. Baldwin & Associates of Lake Placid and an award-winning member of the American Society of Landscape Architects, has been charged with providing the community’s landscape architecture. From The Village’s gated entry statement, butterfly park and skillfully designed pocket parks, to the lush landscaping which showcases the community’s colorful homes, gathering areas and extravagant recreational and fitness facilities, the community’s dramatic and innovative master landscaping plan is nothing less than spectacular.
